Jody has spent 30 years working in the service of art, working as staff and in a freelance capacity for many major NY museums as well as for smaller institutions and private collections.  She received her BFA in Silversmithing and Jewelry design from Indiana University and her MFA from the University of Illinois.  Shortly after graduate school, she moved to New York City and began working at the Guggenheim Museum as an art preparator, working on her first major exhibition as a mountmaker in 1996.

The marriage of metalsmithing, problem solving and working with objects of cultural significance turned into a career path.  Recent projects have included the Musical instruments Galleries (2 years) and the British Galleries (2 years) at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
