Edgar Mosa
Edgar Mosa is a Lisbon-born goldsmith and artist whose work bridges fine craftsmanship with contemporary wit and conceptual depth. He began his journey at the jeweler’s bench at just 14 years old, accumulating over 20,000 hours of hands-on experience. A graduate of the Gerrit Rietveld Academy and Cranbrook Academy of Art, Mosa is known for his meticulously handmade jewelry, ranging from elegant, kinetic rings to sculptural chains and bespoke wedding pieces, as well as for his collaborative large-scale textile installations, most notably the “Flags” series created with his husband Joe McShea. In 2023, Mosa opened his first boutique in New York’s Lower East Side, where his richly atmospheric space showcases his one-of-a-kind creations and the work of fellow artists and designers. His clientele includes global icons like Lady Gaga and Lil Nas X, but his practice remains rooted in his queer downtown community, curiosity, and the beauty of the unexpected.
