Foldover Link Bracelets
Class Description
Taught by jennifer jones
Learn how to build a contemporary derivation of a Classical Loop-in-Loop silver chain. The loop-in-loop chain was the predominant type used for gold and silver jewelry from the early Bronze Age in the Middle East until the end of the Middle Ages. Constructing loop-in-loop chains involves three fundamental procedures: making the links, shaping and stretching the links, and weaving the links into a chain. Clasp assembly will be taught to finish the bracelet.
This course is open to students with basic jewelry and metalsmithing experience, including soldering and torchwork.
